RayZo’s relationship with the Elizabeth Development Company (EDC) exemplifies the long-term, community-rooted partnership that defines our work at its best. EDC has been a cornerstone of economic development in Elizabeth, NJ, for decades, and RayZo has been alongside EDC through multiple chapters of that journey.

Our partnership predates the pandemic, when RayZo provided event management and fundraising support for EDC and its network of community partners. One of the most meaningful engagements during that period was our work with the Elizabethport Presbyterian Center (E’Port Center), an EDC development project. At the E’Port Center, Zoraya served as Interim Executive Director, facilitating the move into the building, which later housed a childcare center and a medical office on the top floor.

RayZo helped complete critical facility preparations and built EDC’s brand identity to strengthen its community presence and expand its reach.

When EDC re-engaged RayZo for a new phase of work in 2025, we returned with the same approach: begin with a thorough assessment, then build solutions tailored to each business’s needs and the broader community. Our most recent engagement focused on 10 small businesses through EDC’s Urban Enterprise Zone program. RayZo conducted individual needs assessments for each participating business, developed a custom digital marketing curriculum, built a dedicated e-learning platform, and created brand and style guides for each business to equip business owners with practical, immediately applicable digital marketing skills.

Our goal in every EDC engagement is not only to help entrepreneurs but also to elevate the entire Elizabeth small-business community by strengthening the digital infrastructure, visibility, and confidence of the entrepreneurs who make Elizabeth’s economy vibrant and resilient. We are glad to continue contributing to that mission alongside EDC and the community it has served for generations.
